Re: Suggestion of Computer Nav software

I really like Fugawi ENC on my old laptop with WinXP on it. Doesn't work as well on 7, and their new version for 7 and 8 isn't as good (in my opinion). (Version 5 is the new one) Of course, it could just be my computer, and not the software. When it's working right though, it works well and at around half the price of the more noted brands. You can check it out at fugawi.com

One of the reasons that you may not be getting a lot of replies is that this subject is a regular topic. You might want to scroll down through the electronics section on this and other boating boards to read what others have said. Good luck.

I have PolarNavy - which was written by a guy that frequents this site. (or used to)

It's cheap, easy to use, and works well for me.

+1 for OpenCPN. Can't beat the price and each release just gets better and better.
