Re: Ram mic mounting location??

I have a box for my chart plotter/radar/AIS above the wheel and I hung the mike right there on the starboard side. I have a bundle of wires down the out side of the pedestal already so one more didn't seem so bad. My compass seems to be within 2 degrees of the remote sensor which is close enough for me as I wander aimlessly about. I would think that the speaker in the remote mic would be the biggest magnetic problem but I have not seen any trouble.
