ST60 Wind instrument diagnosis

Trying to help a friend with a 10 year old ST60. Wind angle is correct but wind speed is about 1/2 of actual.
Start with connections? Sending unit? Anyone have the voltage readings?

Thanks

Re: ST60 Wind instrument diagnosis

I had trouble and needed a new transducer at the top of the mast.

Re: ST60 Wind instrument diagnosis

Oh, I'm having same type issue. Wind velocity seems okay but direction is off 90 to 180 degrees after calibration.

Wind angle can be user corrected on the device, but should only require tweaking by a few degrees.

That's what the book says.

Acts like a bad transducer --- as soon as wind is off the bow the needle jumps 90 degrees or so, always to starboard regardless of wind.
