E40 Owner

Hello all,

My wife and I liveaboard a 1983 E40 in NW FL. I am also in the process of doing many upgrades as I'm sure everyone is. I look forward to exchanging some ideas with other Endeavour owners now that we have this spot.

Some of the projects done:

All new black water hoses
Stripped and revarnished cabin sole
Installed flat screen tv and dvd player in cabin on starboard side above settee
Re-plumbed both shower drains

Next up:

Change all ports with New Found Metal ones
Install new power distribution panel from Blue Sea and go to 50A service via two 30A runs
External brightwork
New hull paint
New topside paint
New thru-hulls (those that are still Groco)
Update electronics with Garmin Suite

By the spring of 2015 I should have all of this accomplished!

Welcome E-fan! Post the updates as you go.
There's also an Endeavour owners site with good info on upgrades and repairs. Not much current activity but good historical info

Welcome to E40. I know you have a great deal of work ahead of you. I have been doing the same things that you have planned. The first big adventure was replacing the fuel and water tanks. I have found that after 20 years the fuel tank rots out. That problem is now solved. Good luck and happy sailing.
