Once again, very nice work, Sum. I'm impressed with you ability to tackle what to me would be huge and month's long projects and make them look so simple and straightforward!

Thanks Andy. Things don't always go right and sometimes later get changed ;). Also some of it looks better in pictures and on the internet than in real life :(.

I think I have it figured out how to plumb the tanks. I want to be able to fill or discharge the independently if required and will have two different ways to fill them and to also draw from them. I won't have this posted though until after we go back in the spring,

Great idea to have multiple ways to fill the tanks.....I have a deck fill and an access hatch on mine I can use. I need to get into mine and do a good cleaning, but the drawback is that the old tank is a molded in tank (65 gallons, which is great for a small boat like mine) under the vee-berth and the lid section is fastened with a million screws and 5200 so I'll have to take a saw to it to get it out and I'm not sure how to fasten it back down so it doesn't leak afterward. That will be a project for next summer.

I did change out the holding tank and hoses on my boat a while back. It took about a month of working a couple of hours on Saturdays and Sundays to get it done. Before I started the project I thought "OK, I'll be conservative and allow an entire Saturday afternoon for this......" But, I am happy with the way it turned out. I have the y-valve locked in the pumpout position because I haven't installed the hand pump for overboard discharge yet, but how long could that take?:laugher

I'll have something pretty much the same with a deck fill and also a access hatch (screw in clear Sea Dog) in the top of one. I should be able to fill the others via the one. We have found that at times we carry 4 gallon water containers ashore with the dinghy and want to be able to easily fill a tank with those either at the deck fill or with the access hatch.

Also I'm putting a 6 gallon Todd tank up in the coaming, just fits, ahead of the starboard cockpit locker. It will fill with either a pressure hose, by hand or via the pressure water system getting water from the tanks in the bilge. Then if we had a problem with the pressure system the 6 gallon will gravity feed to the sink. We also might just use it while on stands in the yard with a water hose connected to it and leave the tanks below empty until we put in.

Worst case out on the water if the pressure system when down we could transfer water from the tanks below to a 4 gallon container with a small 12 volt elect pump like we use on the Mac. Then carry that container up and put it into the 6 gallon tank above. Use out of it and repeat.
