I just checked out the Moyer marine web site and they want $4,500 for a rebuilt Atomic 4. You will louse that if you ever go to sell the boat with a non working inboard. What you are going to spend on the outboard and what you will pick up on the resale should pay for the Atomic 4.

the transom of the 35mII is not conducive to decent outboard placement---slaps the water hard and will wet the outboard thoroughly--try it with a drop down jackplate or find a good repower on ebay or craigs list for 1000 and use it....goood luck and happy sailing---these boats do not need an engine except for getting into and out of slippage and moorage--however that is even do able without engine in these boats---they pivot perfectly and do quite nicely in light breezes.....
