Need steering pedestal for Erickson 35 MkII

We are in year 7 of a 5 year refit...took apart the steering and are looking to replace the pedesta..it's original Yacht Specialties, but are looking to change to Edson...please email me if you have something to work.

I'm searching for a part that I hope you may be willing to part with.
It's the section of the cable type pedestal that has the throttle and shift levers in it. The black plastic tabs inside that that section have broken and we have patched it to death.
I would have sent a picture but can't figure out how to attach it.

Would this piece be available for purchase from you assuming the same pedestal?

Just reread your email. That is the same part that we are fixing. The housing that contains the shift and throttle levers. Our problem is that the stainless bolts (about 4 inches long) have corroded in the aluminum housing. We had to saw the two housings apart. There were no plastic parts inside either housing, so we probably do not have the same models. Our solution is to leave the corroded in bolts and put new bolts in a different location after redrilling both housings. Good luck on your problem.

We managed to salvage our existing Yacht Specialties steering pedestal. Problem: The stainless steel bolts threaded thru the aluminum housing had corroded so bad they had to be cut off and cannot be removed from the housing without destroying the housing itself. Solution: We drilled new mounting holes and adapted the unit by welding in threaded nuts to put the new mounting screws into. Result: we no longer need a new steering unit and also have no spare parts.

Well, rats. I'm glad that you found a better way then chunking down the dough for a new steering pedestal, though. Nice work.
