7 FOOT DRAFT What are the locations (lat/long) of the anchorages and moorings available in the Lower Florida Keys?

Didn't record lat/long, but you should be able to find these on your charts with little trouble... first, you obviously need to use Hawk Channel to travel, second, please double check everything, because, well, because you should ;-)

You're definitely pushing it just about everywhere, but here are the stops we made on our way to Key West from Ft. Lauderdale:
Key Biscayne (No Name Harbor)
Should be OK... 7-10 ft.

Rodriguez Key (eastern side on the way down, western side on the way back)
Same, 7-10 ft. give or take

Marathon
We couldn't get into boot key harbor because of mast hight, so can't say, but stayed at Burdines Marina... entrance channel was tight, so be careful...

Key West
Stayed in the mooring field on the eastern side of Fleming Key
Again, 7-10 ft. or so...

Hope it helps,
Carlos & Maria

We are anchored in Key West right now for Fantasy Fest.

The anchorage you want is just west of Flemming Key (24 34' 13.92" N 81 48' 05.81" W). This is not a designator anchorage so there isn't a wake zone.

The depth is fine. We are anchored in 21' of water. The holding can be tricky. We have a 60 lb Bruce and have never dragged here, but we did have to try twice this last time to get it to grab. We have seen plenty of others drag here so be aware. There is a strong current coming from around Flemming and the "harbor" isn't well protected at all.
