Re: Interior Lighting Upgrades

The PO used those bulbs in all the reading spots throughout the boat, so we're good to go there.

We're going with Marinebeam.com because they offer LED bulbs that are specific to the original fixtures we have, saving us the cost of replacing the entire fixture. I'm eager to get our samples installed to see the difference.

Re: Interior Lighting Upgrades

don't know how far along you are but spec'd LEDs with red and white light for all interior lighting. fixture looks like tradition fixture but three way switch is on side. if you're interested will ask builder for vendor info. just used them on recent short passage. pleasure to be able to go anywhere in boat under red light and not wake off watch crew or ruin your night vision.

I'm interested. Even if we do that for just a select few fixtures, it would be useful. Take a look at the fixture pics at the start of this thread to get an idea of our constraints.

We had some tri-color lights on our previous boat - Alpenglow and really liked having the option.

No worries. Doing it right is better than doing it fast.

Re: Interior Lighting Upgrades

We replaced all of our over interior lights with Alpenglow fixtures. One of the reasons I went with them is their color is better than any LED I could find. They also have two settings for both the red and the white at 300 and 600 lumens,

They also make CFL replacements with great color lights for which have a reduced power draw Not sure they work in your applications.

Dave.

Might be worth it to send them a note. We loved the Alpenglow fixture on our Gemini.

Outbound, the only Lopolights LEDs I'm finding are navigation lights, not interior lights. Do you have a link?
