My experience purchasing used sails

I recently purchased some used sails through Atlantic Sail Traders and I have to say I am extremely pleased. I don't want to sound like an advertisement but I have to give credit where credit is due. I am a college student so unfortunately having new sails made for my Morgan 40 is not monetarily possible at the moment. So I went the used sail route. I had some trouble finding reviews of the used sail companies but ended up choosing Atlantic. First of all they were very helpful in checking the sails I selected to make sure they would fit my boat, which was very helpful. Second, the shipping was fast, I ordered on a Monday morning and had the sail by Wednesday afternoon of the same week, they also do a very good job of accurately rating the sail quality. And finally, the sail fit was absolutely perfect, it was almost as if these sails were custom made for my boat. I could not be happier, I would definitely recommend Atlantic Sail Traders to anyone looking for used sails.

Re: My experience purchasing used sails

I bought my asym spinnaker from them and it was a great transaction too. I didn't need help with the fitting (I knew the spinnaker, it's an off the shelf design from North Sails). Their listed price was a little high (close to new), but when I talked with them about this they were very receptive to repricing it and shipping was quick and inexpensive.

I was really happy when the sail arrived, it was in like new condition. It gets a lot of use on our boat.
