Any advice on disassembly?

Anyone have a step by step or other thoughts on disassembly of these old style wishes? I want to pull them off for teak refinishing. Thnx.

Looks like 2 slotted bolts on the top.
Remove those and see if winch body can be raised over winch guts.
Winch guts and base probably held to teak block with more bolts/screws accessible only with winch body off.
There should be small springs behind the pawls. Be careful when raising winch body. You can cut a hole in a box so the box surrounds the winch if you are afraid of any parts flying off.

I don't think those screws will come out without allot of ARRRRRG! Here's hoping they are very cooperative!
