Escape Captiva Furling Collar
I recently purchased a used Escape Captiva however she came to me with some unorthodox modifications. Somebody bound the furling collar so it would not turn by jamming and glueing a chunk of nylon rope in it. I'm not sure why they did this and I would like to restore furling capabilities. In an attempt to do this I have disassembled the collar and yanked the rope out however now I'm not sure exactly how it is suppose to go back together. I'm afraid I'm either missing parts or the previous owners made other modifications I'm not aware of.
I found some pretty decent photos of the furling collar online but none detailed enough. Are there any Captiva (or Rumba) owners out there would may offer some guidance or better yet a close photo or two of a working furling collar.
