backstay adjuster maintnence.

So my backstay adjuster is/was painted black. It is half chipped off. should I repaint it or just buff off the paint? If I paint it what type paint would I want to use?

Re: backstay adjuster maintnence.

I'm assuming it's a hydraulic adjuster? Who makes it?

In anycase, taking it apart and having it powder coated is the best bet.
You can clean it up and use a two-part paint like Perfection
Or you can clean it up and use a cheaper one part like Brightside. It probably doesn't get banged up back there too much so brightside might work out fine.

Make sure you use the correct primer for the material it's made out of.

Re: backstay adjuster maintnence.

yea, it did look like it was powder coated. Not hydraulic, just a wheel. I'll post a link to a pic. I am still trying to figure out how to post a direct pic. I even have a thread on it and have had advice/answers but still cant seem to figure it out.
