What is a "Wavern" Cruiser

I am trying to learn a bit more about my 32' 1949 Monk cruiser. In some documents, she is referred to as a "Classic Motor Cruiser"; while in others she is labled a "1949 Grand Sedan "Wavern" Cruiser". Both name the designer as Monk Sr. and the builder as Grandy in Washington.

I'm not familiar with Wavern; is this a type of configuration, a builder, or??

Anyone familiar with these?

Brian

Brian did you give the crew a shout over on the wooden boat forums? Lots of old timers there that really know old boats. Monk was most noted for power boats.

Pics of your boat?
