Prop shaft strut replacement

Anyone have any idea where to get a strut for a 38-year-old boat whose manufacturer has been out of business for 20+ years?

The strut on my Cal 2-27 is busted. I got some kelp wrapped around the prop and shaft last weekend as we were leaving Cat Harbor, and although we managed to free things up and get back from Catalina my diver/bottom-cleaner found that the strut is broken when he was cleaning the bottom today. I took a look at it this evening and it looks like it broke just below the base, so the base plate and bolts are intact and the boat is in no danger of sinking (phewww....). I was gonna schedule a haul-out in September or October anyway, so the timing isn't all that bad; just one more thing to add to the list of chores when I do haul, IF I can find a strut that fits.....grrrrrr.......

Try Miller Island Propeller. They have struts for some older boats.

Also saw that sailboatwreckingyard.com is parting out a Cal 2-27. They nay have the part you need.

Given your location, first place I'd look would be Minney's in Newport Beach...

Chances are, your original strut was made by Buck Algonquin:

Thanks all, for the links. I had already stumbled on Buck Algonquin, and Minney's is usually the first place I go for stuff like this. But it's nice to know of other potential sources.
