Temp seal for teak deck caulking

I have a few places that are separated and need to be recalked. However, teak deck systems, which I've been using, takes 24 hrs to dry. I need a window of non-sailing dry time. They don't come around often.

Any trick to temporarily seal it? I'm reluctant to dig up the caulk and use faster drying silicon, as it may be a nightmare to get it out and do right later. I wold slap some tape over it, but worried about glue residue.

Stumped.

Why not use the standard one part teak deck seam sealant? Worked for me until I ripped those darn decks off....

That's what I do use, it just takes 24 dry hours to set up properly.

Sorry was thinking the Teak deck Sysytem was that nasty 2 pot stuff. I think the sika brand sealer cured a bit faster...
