How much growth can there be when the boat is in the water for two weeks? Maybe the boat doesn't need any bottom paint. Is there a pressure washer available to clean the bottom when you do pull her out?

Trailered boats need ablative paint. Hard paints cannot withstand prolonged exposure to air. Start there.

Originally I told him to have the little Belize guys wax it before each visit- but somebody down there told him he needs paint. He believes it and the cost of having it painted is not an issue. So I was just looking for opinions as to the best paint for the situation.

My choice would be Interlux VC 17m. It can be drysailed and gives reasonable protection.

I actually used it some years ago on a trailer sailor and it did the business.
