White plastic outboard motor mount question

Hi,
I just purchased my first outboard motor.
My question is on those white plastic motor mounts that attaches to
the pushpit rails.

The Tee portion of my rear rails is not vertical. When attached, the
white mount will slant inwards toward the boat.

Will that work? Can I adjust the motor to be vertical even though the mount
is slanted as it goes down?

Sorry for the simpleness of the question, but I am not yet familiar with all
of the pins, latches, and hinges on a standard outboard.

Most outboards have an angle adjustment, but I think it will tilt the prop up, not down. Unfortunately, I think that's the wrong direction for you, if I understand your issue. Are you saying that the top of the motor mount will be pointed toward the boat, while the bottom points away from the boat?
