HELP for winterizing CL 14

I bought a CL 14 this summer; this then is my first winter storage,
we got the boat on shore, flipped it; cleaned the barnacles; did some minor scratch repair; polished and waxed; got the tarp ready............
Everything is fine; except.....always an except!
There is a small opening in the stern...which closes with a small plastic screw.
It and the hole were very dirty; in my cleaning, i turned the screw, and sent a lot of water from my hose into the hole.
So far no water is leaving.
What is the opening for?
Where is the water?
How do i get rid of it?
I wouldn't be concerned, but i am leaving in a month and whatever water is sitting will freeze in the cold Atlantic Canadian winter.
I know that will not be good.
Thus my help!!!!!!!
Peter
