Electric Head Repair

Does anyone have some experience repairing an electric head. I have a Jabsco that has been perfect for years but now needs some attention. The evacuation is slow and decidedly noisier than before and the intake now exceeds the flush volume. I assume an impeller needs replacement. I bought the Jabsco service kit and am going to have at it next weekend. I wonder if any special "tradecraft" might be necessary before I get this thing apart.

Patience is definataely required to accomplish the job. Not an extremely hard job just a lots of parts to contend with. You should have gotten a diagram with the kit. Take your time and make sure all directional valves are inserted properly.

Don''t forget the surgical gloves. Also the penetrating oil.
