Prop & Bottom anti foul by Lanocote

Anyone have any experience with this product? I have been using Pettit Zinc coat with good results until this year for the prop. I have thought to smear the prop with Vaseline next time and see how that does, but I wouldn't expect it to last long. WWW.forespar.com

Re: Prop & Bottom anti foul by Lanocote

I applied it to my prop when the boat was on the hard and it didn't take too long for the prop to be fouled. When we are pulled again I plan on going back to using Petit's spray anti fouling for the prop. This last year was a bad one for marine growth so I think nothing worked exceedingly well but I was very disappointed in Lanocote.

I tried to apply in the water earlier this year. I suspect the water temp was too low, as the product would not adhere. I haven't been particularly interested in trying again.

You might want to try a product by the name Prop-Glop that is reportedly pretty effective.

I've experimented with it in the Pacific NW on and off over the past 6 years or so. Nothing conclusive, really...

I could convince myself it's working if I really wanted to, but just not sure.

Dave,

ask your wife, she will tell you the answer, as she has a larger corpus collusum than you! males only have a brain electron to work with, wifes have many!
