repowering, where to start?

Hi all,

I have made up my mind to get rid of my old Volvo MD2B and am in need of some advice. First is where to get it done. Do any of you have experence with any southern California repower outfits that you can recommend?

Second is what brand of engine do you all have a good opinion of? I am leaning towards the Beta Marine 20hp or 28hp. I am open to suggestions though. The most important qualities of this new engine is that it be as quiet as possible and vibration free as possible. Both things my old Volvo aint.
