Having my boat ready at all times for an offshore trip I am trying to remember all the stuff he should bring. personal gear for offshore??

Eric, some details would make a response more useful. When you say "personal gear" I assume you do not me gear for the boat, but rather clothing and other gear a crewmember would bring on board. Where is the offshore trip to and from, what is the weather/time of year, what is the duration of the trip? Also, how well equiped is the boat - for example, does the boat have a proper medical/first aid bag?

Bring ski hat, warm waterproof gloves, socks, and maybe one of those "turtle fur" mufflers. Long undies might not hurt either. In driving rain, ski or underwater goggles might be helpful if they don''t fog up. You''re heading South, but you''ll never be so cold as the first part of this trip, especially at night. We went transatlantic in June, and I was glad I had (and wore) everything I could put on to stay warm. November wil NOT be nice until you get into the Gulf Stream, possibly a few days out, depending upon your track. Being cold and miserable is no fun.
