I need to replace the hose in my head configuration.

Has anyone used solid PVC piping? I have heard that it is very odor resistent and has to be way less expensive than the $8 per foot they charge for the Sealand Odor Safe flexible hose...

Has anyone had experience (good/bad) with the black sanitation flexible hose? Seems a lot cheaper.

i would think that pvc piping would be too rigid for application in a sail boat where you can experience both hull flexing and changes in temperature. If you are having stinky head problems the lines are only one aspect of the problem. I replaced my lines and still had the same stink. You might want to try a product called "potty potion" in your holding tank; it has worked for me. Also, there is an excellent article out there by a woman nicknamed the "head mistress" which explains why the head is stinky and how to get rid of the stink. (Hint: it has to do with getting fresh air to the bacertia in the holding tank.)
