vc17 apply ..when???

I have a vc 17 bottom and need to reaplly this winter ( in a heated warehouse )

can I spray it and leave the boat sitting for a month before it hits the water ?
Or should VC 17 been applied shortly ( within days ) after painted on th hull

In heated conditions a month is as early as you should paint. Shorter is better. You don''t want the copper to oxidize too m uch before you splash.

Interlux Tech Support informed me that VC Offshore no more than 35 days before launch. Not sure how this applies to VC-17.

You can go to the web site Interlux.com and find the picture of VC-17 and click to the specs it will tell you how long to leave out of the water how many coats ECT.I am doing the find the right paint thing right now. I left New Orleans last Summer with a half life paint job and it hit the Florida west coast water and died in two weeks and I mean I scraped my butt off for the next two months. Back in New Orleans and the little critters died.Going to the yard next week to get Trilux or CSC or Micron Extra but I don''t know whats on the boat now except its black and wore out.
