Sealant for aluminum fuel tank

I need to re-install the 12"x12" aluminum access lid to my aluminum diesel fuel tank.
What sealant/caulk can be used for this application?

Sealant for aluminum fuel tank

Hopefully the lid is held on with screws and has a paper type gasket.
Permatex Form-A-Gasket No. 2 is the best sealer for petro.
