Leakey windows

I have a 1976 Newport 30. It has 6 fixed windows and 2 small windows that open. I have at least 1 leak each in the 6 that are fixed. I have been putting goop around the windows but they still keep driping. Is possible to re move the windows and reseal them? What should I use to do the sealing?
Has any one out there infomation on how and what to do.

Thanks ALF

Leakey windows

the only way to stop the leaking is to remove the windows, clean them thoroughly and rebed them using silicone caulk. Unless you remove them they will continue to leak no matter how much "goo" you apply. If you are afraid of destroying the windows, just replace the lexan with new. If you are going to remove them,I''d replace them anyway. the material is very cheap.

Leakey windows

I''m going to try to find replacement frames for my cracked, fixed windows. Can you recommended any companies that make replacement frames?

Leakey windows

Mark Plastics of Corona, CA makes fixed windows for most of the fiberglass boats manufactured in CA during the 70''s & 80''s.

Don''t know if they have the Newport 30 windows or not but their # is (909)735-7705.

Good luck

Jim
