12v drop light - useful tool
I made something last month that turned out to be really useful over the weekend... time to share.
Was thinking through how to work on someting at night in the engine space, on deck or up the mast while out at the islands. (...Maybe when we don''t want to wait for dawn)
Bought one of those 12v flourescent standard base bulbs, a plastic drop light (just 15'' cord which I chopped off), 12v power plug, and about 70 feet of Ancor wire.
Bright as #%#% on dark night, reaches anywhere on the boat, & very low power draw.
