2 or 3-bladed prop?

I have a fixed two-bladed prop on my 28ft sloop. I''m planning a passage across the South China Sea and am considering switching to a three-bladed prop if that will give me a bit more umpf from my rather enemic 10hp single-cylinder diesel. The trade off, of course, is more resistence under sail. Any thoughts on whether it makes sense to change or to keep it as is ...? Is the trade off worth while? I''m not interested in a folding prop, mainly for $ reasons.

3 blades but you may still have a problem with strong currents and not enough power.Other people will give you the scoop pn a prop company that makes some real neat three blade props. I had the info but a crash caused the loss of allot of info I would like to hear from the people who are in the know again.

OK I went on a search and here is the site for one manufacturer http://www.westbynorth.com/They carry a Campbell fixed three blade low drag prop that sounds like a good thing. I am ordering one for my 38 foot Catalina. They have all the specs and prices and it sounds like they know what is happining.
