engine maintenance training

I live in the NYC area and am interested in finding a way to learn, in a classroom setting, diesel engine mechanics and maintenance. Ideally it would be with a marine focus but I don''t think that''s a hard requirement. I remember reading somewhere that there are courses like this around. I just have not been able to find one. Any suggestions?

I''ll second that. Recently attended Yanmar class. Truly excellent. They are in Union City NJ. Try to get into Larry Berlin''s class.
