Dinghie on Sabre

I am looking into options for a dinghie to use with my Sabre 362. I am aware of course that the choice is a compromise and that my use is different than others.

What have people found specifically for this vessle?

If davits work, a Trinka would allow for sail and rowing...the total weight of davits, boat and motor may effect sailing performance, yes?

Does an RIB fit on foredeck without too much hassle?

Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.

Chris

Please don''t even think of putting a dinghy & davits off the transom of a Sabre362, unless you''re hoisting an inflatable and removing the motor. And then, you''d have to look at the thing all the time. (And so would the rest of us.) Ugh ! Cabintop or foredeck seems like the way to go, with a dinghy that''s nice to look at. If you''re thinking of different ones, Dyer Dhows combine reasonable volume, weight, and sail/row/motor capabilities. ... but of course it has to fit... There''s a book called ''The Dinghy Book'' that may be helpful. Good luck, & happy hunting.

The dingy you refer to....is this a real stupid person, conversely is the RIB you refer to a real intelligent blond? I am so confused with your terminology. I would think that a real intelligent blond would fit on your foredeck. I''m guessing that the foredeck of my SABRE 34 would hold 6-8 blonds, but I don''t have any actual experience in these matters! It is my opinion that you should have no problems with the blonds on a boat that is 36 feet in length!
