Grey Marine-Tex Putty on fiberglass?

Wondering is anyone who''s used the =grey= Marine-Tex putty can tell me whether it should not be used on fiberglass hull repairs.

Concern #1 is how easy it is to paint over and not shadow through.

Marine tex apparently comes in gray and white. If you''re painting over with white you could use the white. In fact whatever color the white would probably show through less.

By "fiberglass repair" I presume you mean nonstructural repairs. I used Marine tex to fill in holes left in my foredeck when a previous owner used the pulpit as a battering ram (four big messy gouges where the pulpit used to be mounted). Filling cracks, gouges etc. is probably a good use for this stuff.
