If it was done in two part epoxy you can''t get there from here. It tends to bleed into the awlgrip and nothing removes it. Any one tells you different is pulling your leg.
Mine was done in red two part paint over oyster white awlgrip. I re painted the whole transom and now you can''t see a mark even up close.
You need to wet sand and re awlgrip or it will bleed through. Red is the very worst to cover. If the alwgrip is newer than say 5 years it should possible to get a dead match.
With someone that knows what they are doing you can do a quick haul at the end of the day and sand and paint it then splash in the morning. That way it sits in the lift and you don''t have to block and re hoist the boat. The yard should give you a break on the haul out that way.
