Repairing inflatables

dman, the point is, it is leaking but I can''t detect the leak. If I can''t detect the leak it does not mean it is not leaking as you suggest. It means I am having a difficult time detecting the leak. There is a big big difference. You never answered the question, what word do we put in the search? At least two of us have attempted to find out more and come up with nothing. Regards, Peter

The point is ,it is leaking and just because you cannot find it ,there is no magic bullet that someone can give you.Actually the post I was referring to was started by Falcon Eddie several months back, and he has given all you need to know about repair on this one.I have brought the horse to water with reguards to finding the problem, the problem is with the operator and not the operation. If this is such a problem, repairing it yourself should be outsourced. If I dropped a plastic pin on the floor all you could give me for advice would be to open my eyes and look closer, that is what I am saying to you.Peter there is nothing more I can add except that it is there and you have to find it.Sometimes in life you are on your own.Good luck

dman, the whole purpose of this web site is for help. You seem to be very arogant. Tell me what the word or words are for the search you recommended. If you can''t then bugger off. Peter

Some people obviously cannot be helped on this website, there are other areas for that. When someone writes back with Capital letters on every third word it screams of punk to me.If you cannot find a leak bud that is your problem,no amount of searching on the web will help that.Arogant?By telling you it is up to you to find a leak in an inflatable? You use this site for information, you have it and now get to work finding the source of your problem. If you spent this much effort looking instead of arguing I am sure you would have better results.Besides getting a condome maker to test electronicly for it, get off the computor and get your soap and water and start.I said you might try a search because this topic was covered before.I never said you would find it.(the discussion/or leak)

check the seams for leaks and also check the valves to see if, perhaps, the air is leaking from the valves.

It''s pretty obvious dman didn''t understand your question asking for help using the search function in the message board archives. It looks like he thought you wanted help searching for the leak. Someone else wanted help using the search function also, specifically what keywords to use to get good search results. If dman knows where this is in the archives (he says he saw it before), or if he knows what keywords may have been in the messages, then maybe he can post them and help. Otherwise he should take his arrogance and just be quiet. I think we all know how to search for leaks in something inflatable (no wisecracks please ;-)), but trying to get good results in a search engine is another story!

It is quite obvious to me that I am dealing with a few fools here. They will try and drag you down to their level and try and beat you with their experience.Duffus1960 I never said I seen it on the search,it is in there somewhere because I replied with the information to fix an inflatable.I said to try and search to see if you can find it.Falcon Eddie was the one asking the question back then and now he is giving you all a very good description of his repair work which is dead on.This all started when I suggested that someone should try the search because I know this topic was covered in detail because I replied to it.The search is not required now because Eddie has come in and told you guys how to repair it,he never did at the time that I suggested to search. If the confussion is over how to search then post that on a new topic under general topic. If you are confused on how to find a leak use soap and water. If you are confused on repairing an inflatable with the material Eddie has then read his post.Another thing ,use the correct quote if you are going to say I said this or that at least have it correct.("he says he saw it before")B.S That was not stated anywhere.Dman"This was recently covered ýou should try the search" that is what I said.Duffer1960"Ï think we all know how to search for leaks in something inflatable" BS sneuman "not even sure I can properly identify it with soap bubbles"He is having doubts of how to do it and he started this thread. If a fight is what you want and it must be because this whole thing has got totally ridiculous then go for it.Go for a row with your inflatable in a school of angry swordfish and pissoff.

Dudes, I did mine very simply. Mine is a PVC Quick Silver inflatable. It had a few pinhole leaks. I cut quarter size patches and attached them with sperglue gel. The patch was done inside of 5 minuets and four of them have lasted a year and a half with no signs of breaking down. I do kepp it out of the water and sun when not in use.

good luck
