Outboard won''''t stay in neutral
We have a 7.5 Johnson outboard on our Hunter 22. Since we launched in early June and reversed off low-loader, when the gear is put into neutral the propellor still turns slowly which is a bit nerve wracking!
We''ve tried "clicking" it into neutral by manually turning the prop while on the mooring, but no luck.
Just wondered if anyone had any tips on what we could try, other than take it to a mechanic. It''s a Johnson with the long shaft and weighs about 75 lbs, so we''d just as soon try out some tips before getting it to a mechanic!
Thanks!
