Battery question

When at the dock connected to shore power, my 20 amp charger charges the house batteries to the "ready" position. However, every fifteen minutes or so the entire electrical system cycles down, shuts down, and restarts the charging cycle over again. The power almost goes completely off, lights dim, for about ten seconds or so. I am assuming that I need to replace my house batteries. Is this right?

Thanks,
dch

Battery question

dch,

When off the charge, do your house batteries hold a charge and provide energy to the boat''s systems reliably?

If so, the problem may be with the charger not the batteries. How old are the batteries?
