Small Electric Start Outboard

I am looking for a small electric start outboard for my 21 foot sailboat. My wife has trouble starting the two stroke manual start engine we currently have.

The only ones I seem to be able to find are 8HP anyone know of one that is less than that?

You''re pretty much out of luck below 8 HP electric start outboards. Briggs and Stratton makes a 3-HP model called the Etek Electric Motor System. There are also some electric trolling motors that run on 24-volt systems that deliver over 80 pounds of thrust, which ought to push a 21-foot boat fairly well. Minnkota makes a 2-HP electric trolling motor that operates on 48 volts and claims to deliver speeds up to 5 MPH.
