12 volt air conditioner?

Has any one tried the Glacier Bay unit.
Thinking of trying it out with a D/C genset.

12 volt air conditioner?

It may be a better solution than making 120 volt AC power, but it''s hard to justify a battery bank that could drive them without a genset. You really cvouldn''t install less than two units on a small boat 3 on a 40 ft boat.

I doubt any alternator could feed a pair of these though the math doesn''t seem up to it. Converting to a 24 volt system might be a better choice if you could.
