T 34 fuel tank removal

Anyone have experience removing the aluminum fuel tank from a 1987 Tartan 34? It appears the plywood seat has to be cut out over the tank.

T 34 fuel tank removal

Last spring we repowered our T34 with a westerbeke 30B diesel engine. In the process we replaced the origional circa ''76 aluminium fuel tank. We essentially cut out the plywood, removed the tank, installed a new tank, then cut in a new piece of plywood and glassed to side of hull. Very happy with the results,
