Volvo MD 11C
I''m considering replacing the engine in my Cheoy Lee Perry 35 (7tons, full keel) with a rebuilt Volvo MD 11C engine and gearbox. I live in Southeast Asia. I don''t know much about this engine and was wondering if someone could advise on it re: reliability, ease of maintenance/service, spares availability, suitability, etc. It would seem to fit my engine room beautifully and the seller is asking USD1,000.00. Any help, suggestions, experience? BTW, I''m not a very good mechanic so I need something that is reliable and doesn''t take a master engineer to care for!
