Re: Outhaul repair/replacement

Received the new sheaves from Ed at ZEPHYRWERKS. He was a pleasure to work with. Getting the Amsteel line today and should have the old system back together this week, reviving it for less than $100. It was tempting to go with a new system, however, this was a lot less expensive, didn't require drilling additional holes in the boom and as funky as it is, IT WORKS!
As always....thanks for the help!

Re: Outhaul repair/replacement

First lesson re: Amsteel 3/16.
Amsteel is larger than the 3/16 wire rope it replaced. Hence, it won't fit through the old hardware. Purchased some 1/8 today. We'll see how that works! Just need to come up with some type of fid small enough to work with it. Apparently, coat hangers or a ball point pen cartridge, or pulling it with guitar wire work.
