Or this one:

C-Head portable composting toilets

Pushed the buy now button on this one a few weeks ago. It hasn't arrived yet.
OP, do a search at google using "composting toilet" and information will
pour forth. There has to be at least 10 threads discussing this subject with pros and cons of the various models and brands.

Some how paying almost a thousand dollars for a pretty bucket is a tad hard to do.
fryewe and Multihullgirl like this.
No such thing as a free cat, and that goes for boats as well.

Sandy fabs up each C-Head as the order comes in, so it takes awhile. I have been pleased with the C-Head so far. Simple is good.

I studied both pretty hard when we were making the change. I settled on a Nature's Head b/c it fit slightly better than AH, but in my opinion they are both virtually identical. I think either one would do a fine job.

One thing I will say is that NH's customer service has been excellent. I had a small problem with their vent fan. Without even asking, they sent me TWO full replacements at no cost. That's pretty nice.
Why go fast, when you can go slow.

Got that one on one of my boats. It is great.

Yesterday I ripped out the unused marine head/holding tank/macerator pump/three way valve and piping on my second boat (been using wag bags since I installed the new system three years ago) and ordered a second one for that boat last night...due to arrive 5 June. Wish I had done it three years ago. I would be half a grand richer and have those dozen or so hours it took to install the system back.

I can now place a Group 31 on that shelf the holding tank sat on and extend my battery capacity by fifty percent.

The c-head is just so...simple.

This winter I'll pull the pump out fixture/flushing water hull connection/vent/overboard thru hull valve and close up the holes in the hull.

Re: compost toilet which one?

I would recommend you see them for yourself first.

I was originally going to go with a Natures Head, but seeing them at the Annapolis Boat show in October, I decided to go with an Airhead instead. My decision was based on seeing how much clearance was needed behind the unit to open the NH that wasn't really needed with the AH and space is limited in the head of my boat. I only ordered an AH a few weeks ago and it just arrived so I hope to install it on the boat soon.

Aside from what it teaches you, there is simply the indescribable degree of peace that can be achieved on a sailing vessel at sea. I guess a combination of hard work and the seemingly infinite expanse of the sea - the profound solitude - that does it for me. - Billy Campbell
