Oday 272 Head Installation

Hello all,

I just purchased an 1986 Oday 272. The head was removed by a previous owner and I am planning to reinstall a new one. I am wondering what head others have in their 272s? Was the original a "full size" or "compact" head?

Also, what is the lifespan of the holding tank? Anybody have to replace theirs due to a failure? It is a poly tank under the Vberth.

Thanks for any help!

-Andy

Oday 272 Head Installation

As far as I know, my holding tank is original and my 272 is also a 1986. My head is a standard Jabsco.

Do you have room for a composting head?

Original was very probably a compact.

An inspection of the tank should reveal if it has any issues. If it looks to be in good condition with no cracks and fittings and hoses look good, I would not replace it.

I do believe I have room for a composting head but I think I am going to go traditional.

There is a tank that is there and I will have to test it to see if it is ok.
