Laptop Computer Mount

What have people found that's a good solution for mounting a laptop computer at the Nav. Station?

Ideally, it would be nice to have it on an arm so it can be swung out of the way in order to open the chart table. I know RAM makes some but what do other people find works well?

Thanks

Sean

There are quite a few arm type devices you can use, look for monitor stands as one possibility. One thing to be aware of, is many are made of mild steel and very susceptible to corrosion in a marine environment.

I would probably go for a 12 VDC computer with a flat panel that was mounted on a swing away arm, and leave the chart table top basically clear. If you use a wireless keyboard and mouse, then it becomes quite simple to keep everything out of your way.
