Bayfield 32C Fuel Tank Assistance

Just purchased a Bayfield 32C and need assistance.

1: The diesal fuel tank appears to have been cut open and a rubber tank inserted into the tank. I have never seen this before? I have diesel in the bildge so it appears at first glance there are some issues with this installation. Can anyone give me some guidance?

2: Looking for a manual for a Yamar 3 cyclinder diesel....anyone know where I can get one?

The rubber tank was probably a stop gap measure for a leaking fiberglass or aluminum tank. The rubber tank probably chafed against something inside the old tank, and is leaking for that reason.
