Garmin to Raymarine to Uniden to Computer

I have multiple components from multiple manufacturers and they all converse politely on the boat. Your raymarine autopilot has a NMEA input and will work with any gps that offers NMEA output. The only thing NMEA doesn't offer that sea talk does is two way communication. The autopilot can not send its status to the gps. However, the GPS will independently track the position and send updates to the auto pilot (as a matter of fact I have the capability to send updates from either my laptop at the nav table or the charplotter at the helm).
