Bimini Shrinking

Over the winter the Bimini on my IP 35 shrank about 2-3 inches. Any suggestions on how to stretch it without destroying it? I've tried to wet it and stretch it by hand to no avail.

It would help a lot if you said what the bimini was made of... hard to give advice if we don't know the details.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I saw the title and, remembering the Bahamas, I immediately thought "Global warming" !

Material: Canvas - appears to be sunbrella or a similar derivative.
