Treadmaster

We have a steel deck and are replacing the non-skid with TreadMaster. After we grind and primer, do we need to paint before applying the epoxy? Thanks

We have tread master on steel deck 10yrs old and it was put on top of a normal epoxy coating system. What were you thinking of instead? The only place I can think of that you might shortcut is, that some of the epoxy coatings are not recommended as topcoats but should be shielded by a topcoat/color-coat, and the treadmaster will serve that purpose.

To clarify, my question is about what goes under the epoxy. If I grind down to metal, then apply a primer, can the epoxy & treadmaster be applied on top of that, or should the primed surface be painted first? Thanks
