Newport 30 muffler

Just purchased a 1987 Newport 30 with Universal 18 hp diesel. Muffler is missing. Can anyone help with description of their muffler- make, model, design, dimensions or a picture
Thanks for any assistance

muffler mystery

I would call the makers of mufflers for boats and match it to the specs of the engine since that is a common engine. Decide on a waterlift etc and examine the different configurations. Even West Marine has a section in their catalog that outlines the various configurations.

I'm not too sure there are makers of mufflers for boats other than thru the engine manuufacturers, perhaps for A4s and Caterillars...I suggest you go to http://www.westerbeke.com/distributors/index.cfm and find the area Westerbeke distributor. I buy my staff through www.hansenmarine.com who are excellent. Just anticipate everything to cost 2-3 times as much as your wildest guess.

mufflers

Actually Nauqualift and Centek are both manufacturers of marine mufflers.
