Question Seidleman 25 rudder replacement

Just lost our rudder on a 1980 Seidleman 25. Would anyone know where I could find one of these or the best way to go about replacing it. Thanks

Sailboatowners.com

I have to replace the rudder for my Cortez 16 and I contacted sailboatowners.com. You can download a measurement form at:
http://shop.sailboatowners.com/emp/m...udder&custom=T

They will fabricate a rudder for you.

hellosailor will become famous soon enough
You might try Foss Foam in Florida. They have a good reputation but...then again I also know someone who lost months in delays with them, sometimes they don't answer the phone or live up to their word on deadlines. No idea what the cause was, only that the experience and the reputation didn't match up for one fellow. But, there aren't many shops that will make up rudders at all.

rudder replacement

Thank you everyone. I did actually get a replacement from foam foss, but they did not have the exact specs and we are not happy with the result. That's why we would like to track down an actual Seidleman 25 rudder. So if anyone out there knows where we can get one please let us know. Many thanks.

Conorh, I have a Seidleman 25. If you still need a rudder, I could give you dimensions or a pattern. I am a boatbuilder, so we could also make arrangements for the construction of a replacement.

Xsboats-

Considering that Conorh's post is over 18 months old... from 2006, chances are pretty good that he either got a rudder or sold the boat. Please check dates before responding to a post, and please read the post in my signature.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
